Joe McMullen has been providing clock repair and piano tuning/repair work for the last 20 years. Joe serves the southern Indiana & southern Illinois regions.

Joe is a graduate from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN with a B.S. Degree.

In 2003, Joe completed Hermle's Clock Repair Technician Training on grandfather, wall, mantle, cuckoo, and antique clocks.

Joe is an Authorized Howard Miller & Ridgeway Repair Center.

I recently purchased an antique mantle clock from a antique store in Evansville Indiana not far from my home. When I got home I realized it did not work, and that it would need some work, and possibly an entire restoration. I did some extensive research for a good “Clock Doctor” and Joe McMullen pulled up on Google. I called him, and told him my situation and he was more than happy to help. He performed an entire overhaul of my 1890’s Mantel Clock. During the restoration he gave me updates on the progress, and after he gave me specific instructions on how to care for my antique clock. I am very satisfied with his professionalism, and knowledge, I couldn’t be more blessed. I live in Evansville Indiana and he most definitely was worth the drive for quality work, and very reasonably priced, and the overhaul even came with a warranty! I will definitely be giving him a call in the future for work on my Grandfather Clock and Grandmother Clock as well. I most definitely will always recommend his services to anyone!

We have an antique grandfather clock that I brought from Germany in 1973. It ran flawlessly until 2014, then stopped unexpectedly. We contacted a local repairman who advertised "20 years experience". After two failed attempts at repair and $75 expense, we decided to look elsewhere.

Enter Joe McMullen, a clock repairman from Vincennes, IN, who is also an authorized repair- and serviceman for Howard Miller and Ridgeway.
Joe quickly identified part of the problem during his initial inspection in our living room. The mechanism had been sprayed with a lubricant which literally gummed up the works. He took the works, weights, and pendulum for further inspection and repair.
One gear had been damaged and a set screw stripped. It took several months, but Joe located the necessary replacement parts. He repaired the damage inflicted by the other "repairman" and restored our clock to "like -new" condition. It now sits in our living room keeping time minute-for-minute with the atomic clock.
I found Joe to be knowledgeable and dependable, professional in both appearance and conduct, honest, and his price was very reasonable. I recommend Joe McMullen to anyone in need of clock repair.

This outstanding repair man went out of his way to help my elderly parents, even though their limited budget did not make it possible for them to hire him to prep their clock for a move from Sullivan, IN to Greenville, SC. He told them what they needed to do on the phone & then answered their call for help when they arrived. (We were mystified about how to get the weights back in place.) He went OUT of his way to be helpful when there was nothing in it for him. Folks, that is a mark of CHARACTER. There are not many people like this. I HIGHLY recommend him. Plus, he knows his stuff well enough that he was able to communicate & assist from text pictures! You can't do better than Joe.
